Thursday, July 4, Day 73
It's coffee time at the camper, as the boys enjoy a cuppa Dad's strong brew. Maria came prepared with her special 4th of July headband. She is always so happy when the boys get together.
There was also a trip to Boom City, which is a Tulalip Tribe owned Fireworks Concession! The boys want to make sure they can compete with all of the neighbors on the Fourth.
Think this stand is a prurient excuse in the name of charity to attract attention. Well, it works.
Kayla decorated the tables with shells, rocks, red white and blue flowers and flags. She
had purchased special fabric as well. It was festive and just perfect!
John and Steve headed out in the boat to see how the crab pots fared.
Here's John hauling in a pot.
The water's so clear and calm, just right for taking a little cruise.
Maddyn tried out the marshmallow shooter John brought along to compete with the potato gun.
Maybe not as impressive, but fun nevertheless!
Kailey put on Maria's headband!
Fourth of July dinner was a seafood boil, featuring crab, potatoes, clams, mussels, shrimp and sausage. Debbie and her sister Penny plan all of this and work in the kitchen in a seemingly effortless manner to pull it off. Awesome!
Here's that freshly caught crab.
Clams and mussels coming out of the steamer...
It was all layed out on the counter on newspaper, a moveable feast!
