Sunday, July 7, Day 76
This is it. It's time to leave and the kids are packing up the car. They all have so much stuff, they
are trying to get it all in.
The boys have a picture taken in their J H Blake Flour, Inc. aprons. They gave these to John for Father's Day, a big surprise. We had been talking about his Grandfather wearing an apron like this each morning as he prepared breakfast. It was a wonderful and thoughful gift, and I'm sure we will see these aprons many times at family gatherings! A fitting tribute to the patriarch of the family, the original J.H. Blake.
One last family picture - Jack, Maria, Dixie, John, Chris and Kayla. Oh how we hate to leave!
The kids drive on down the road. They will all leave from Sea-Tac this afternoon, Jack and Maria to San Diego, Chris and Kayla to Anchorage. We won't be far behind them as we start our journey east and south toward my sister's in Nebraska. Thanks to the Symonds for sharing their home and gracious hospitality, and family, with us for such a special visit.
