Thursday, July 4, Day 73 (cont'd)

Everyone is busy getting their fireworks ready, anxiously waiting for at least dusk.  It's hard when it doesn't truly get dark until 10:30! 

Kayla's twin brother Drew and Chris start preparations, while Kayla, Maddyn and Kailey look on.  Aaron, Kayla's cousin is watching, as is Steve.  It's going to be a big night!

And things get underway! They found some of last year's fireworks on top of the refrigerator!

It is a gorgeous full moon night - almost no fireworks needed!

Fireworks and a fire pit make a beautiful glow. That's Chris and Kayla and Lisa, Kayla's sister in law.

Jack and Chris team up to start some of the big fireworks.

The fireworks were all around us, on the other shore, down near Everett, behind the hills and to the north.  We were completely surrounded by spectacular fireworks, mostly private displays, until the wee hours of the morning.  It was just the greatest celebration!  The fireworks the boys bought were just the best!

What a night!
