Friday, July 5, Day 74
We are all off a slow start this morning. Jack has kitchen duty as we began to make breakfast, more like brunch!
Lots of really fresh fruit - Chris and John did a great job of cutting it up.
Chorizo is our main dish. We made lots of it! And there wasn't much left. I had suggested a Mexican breakfast and Chorizo was Maria's idea. Good choice!
Maria was surprised that I got hot pickled carrots. And of course we had to have refried beans!
Everyone lined up to get their meal. Chris, Kayla and Chase, Kayla's brother start us off!
It was clean up time down by the water at what was the staging area for the fireworks last night.
Lindsey, Drew's wife, spent some time reading WILD, and more time just snoozing. It was a relaxing morning.
Chris brought a special recipe for sausages cooked in bear and sauteed onions. He and Kayla
made lunch!
Great menu and everyone enjoyed it! John was happy to have a new recipe.

Brothers! Do they ever get enough of teasing and making each other crazy? I think not!

Time for a little get together with the girls. Maria, Kayla, Lindsey and Debbie...
And Lisa joined in as well. That empty seat was for me! It was a lot of fun!
In the meantime, the guys set up a mean game of Ladder Ball. Here are Drew and Chris pairing up.

And then there's the proverbial hunt for the ones that were overthrown!

Time to start the fireworks. Oh- the Fourth was last night? Doesn't matter! Everyone up and down the beach had more in their arsenal, our group included.
Steve, Debbie, Drew, Lindsay warm themselves by the fire, while rockets take off behind them.
And Kayla and Chris get an ACT! Happy Fourth of July!
