Duchess County New York to Connecticut and Boston

Friday, May 31, Day 37

Hyde Park New York, which is where we spent the night last night,  is in Duchess County.  It is one of the prettiest and most affluent of the counties upstate.   We have to pass through Connecticut and part of New Jersey to get to Boston.  It all happens quickly.

Beautiful countryside in Duchess County.

This pond is covered with lilly pads.

Huge horse farms, all with white fences stretching for a long way.

Waterbury Connecticut to visit my friend and former business colleague Peter Gati, his wife Monica and their family.  It was so great to see him.  We had many great stories to reminisce about!

We pass through Hartford Connecticut.  This is the capitol building.  The city is still the insurance capital of the world as well.
